Welcome to the Easterton website

Easterton Parish comprises the communities of Easterton and the hamlet of Eastcott situated some 7 miles south of Devizes, between the nearby villages of Market Lavington and Urchfont.

The centre of the village is a ribbon development of housing old and new in a valley running below the NW edge of Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire, UK.

The Parish comprises approximately 450………. Registered electors. The surrounding fields are predominantly arable alongside a strong equestrian presence in many areas throughout the village.

Easterton  is a typical English village with buildings dating from the 14th century onwards. Within the Parish there is a Church , Public house, Village hall, recreation field, play area, repair garage and veterinary practice with a primary school and pre-school bordering Market Lavington.  In addition  a doctor’s surgery plus comprehensive shopping facilities can be found within walking distance in our neighbouring village.

This new website was launched in 2016 with the aim of providing a brief history of the Parish together with comprehensive and timely information about community activities as well as a regular update on the work of the Parish Council.
